Modernize the checkout path for mobile and desktop devices to increase sales from higher site traffic.
Process
With higher traffic volume coming from the search results and product pages, our goal was to modernize the UI of the checkout path with minimal changes to the existing backend functionality. I worked with an Agile Team and Product Owner to improve the multi-step checkout system. A few of the major enhancements included; relocating the "Your Cruise" receipt to a more prominent location, clearly displaying the pricing & details and overhauling the form fields and interaction elements on each page.
Results
After running an A/B test with the current path we saw incremental bookings of
~5% with the new design.
